MIHM-Tell us a little bit about you, where are you from and what inspired you to pursue a career in the music industry and talk about being from the Bronx.

LA-I was born in the Bronx, New York and knew at six years old that I was destined to become a singer. Against both of my parents’ wishes, I became the first vocalist and philanthropist in our family. It was simply in my DNA to want to help others and inspire them. That is why I am making a difference through music which can transform and create the changes we wish to see for our future generations, all living beings, and for the climate and sustainability of our planet.

MIHM-You are a national Billboard top 40 recording artist, with hits like “Share that love” and “Put a little Love in your heart” reaching more that 1,000,000 streams. Tell us about it.

LA-The most important song I decided to record first is what I felt the world needed more than ever. The world needs love and that was my music & philanthropy mission. Love for each other, living beings and our earth. The message is clear and simple.

My first Single “Share That Love / What The World Needs Now Is Love” was released and reached #36 on the Billboard Top 40 Dance Club Charts and I was ecstatic!

I believed the world was ready for some of inspirational messages delivered from the 60’s music now turned into pop dance hits to reach all ages. I also have some music for movies and tv, and for concert performances. The Share That Love, Ep is currently on Spotify and all music sites, and my upcoming CD will be released in 2023.

MIHM-Tell us about your charitable organization “Share the Love”.

LA-I began donating my performances and time to charities and I found it really rewarding, and that’s when I decided to become the Founder of my own charitable organization sharethatlove.org. It gives me the opportunity to be an ambassador, provide support and media attention and be the voice for many good works throughout the world. I try to encourage others to find their passion and join me through my charitable organization which partners with good works that they can support, donate, or volunteer to help make a difference for our future.

MIHM-What projects are you working on now?

LA-I recently donated a Benefit Concert to the Aspen Camp for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The Aspen Noise Singers joined me to sing a few of John Denver’s special songs as we continue to carry on his legacy since he supported the camp yearly with his concerts. I have been performing across the globe from the United States to Peru, providing concerts and support for those doing good works like ShelterBox USA, who have been nominated twice for a Nobel Peace Prize and recently received a Peace Prize from the United Nations. I was honored to become the First Artist Ambassador for ShelterBox USA.

This year, I will be performing benefit concerts and providing support for shelter relief from disaster and conflict, cleaning our seas and beaches, children cancer hero’s and medical missions. We’re already planning concerts, media and volunteers for the upcoming performances in 2023!

MIHM-If you could work with somebody you admire, celebrity, politician, musician, leader or anybody else who would it be and why?

LA-I have been a huge fan and admired Elton John since I saw “Yellow Brick Road Tour” and since his first album. Now that he is retired, I would love to invite him to join me and participate in any way he would like to be a part of my concept for Global Concert Live Stream Event helping humanity & our environment. We need to come together to solve many of the problems we are currently facing, and we can make a difference through music.

MIHM-Define what success means to you?

LA-Success is waking up happy and content every day with my love for music. It’s been my saving grace throughout my life. No matter what is going on around me, I can still be in my state of joy & bliss! Music touches the heart and can transform the world.  When I sing it fills my heart with happiness and I then get to share that love with everyone else during my concert performances! It’s a win-win!

MIHM-Who have been your biggest mentors in your career?

LA-Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, and John Denver, have all left their mark on the world by teaching us about grace, love, and compassion. They lead through acts of compassion and love to create positive changes in the world. I love Diana’s caring heart. She cared so much about helping others and continued to do so even in the face of all her personal struggles. Mother Teresa was the ultimate teacher of compassion and pure love. She taught the world another way with her acts of love and was cherished and admired for it. John Denver was way ahead of his time with his genuine heartfelt music and his work as a world humanitarian and philanthropist. His efforts to help protect the environment and in particular, sea life, inspired me and many others.
