SAMANTHA BASS TOP MODEL
MIHM-Tell us a little bit about you, where are you from and what inspired you to pursue a career in the modeling and entertainment industry?
SB-I was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut I grew up in a single parent household, raised by my kind, caring, and loving mother Rose Wright Bass. I did my first fashion show when I was 7 years old, from that day I believed that I would become a Top Model. I was 37 years old when I signed with John Casablancas in 2009. I put my career on hold to raise my children. I refused to allow anyone else to raise my children. I have been happily divorced and single for 10 years. I still believe in love and I know that I will have my happily ever after. I am ready for my fairytale romance. I am a lover of people, let it be known that I stand against racism and discrimination of any kind.
MIHM- Tell us about Who’s Who In America 2020.
SB-Since 1899, when A. N. Marquis printed the First Edition of Who’s Who in America®, Marquis Who’s Who® has chronicled the lives of the most accomplished individuals and innovators from every significant field of endeavor, including politics, business, medicine, law, education, art, religion and entertainment. Today, Who’s Who in America® remains an essential biographical source for thousands of researchers, journalists, librarians and executive search firms around the world. I am honored to be a 2020 listee, my biography will be published in the printed publication of Who’s Who in America the 4th quarter 2020.
MIHM- Tell us about your company Samantha’s Modeling.
SB-I established Samantha’s Modeling in 2011 in order to represent myself as an independent model. My brand is Top Model Samantha Bass. Even though I was late getting started with my modeling career I became a Worldwide Top Model without an Agent or agency representation. I invested in myself be my own boss.
MIHM-If you could work with somebody you admire, celebrity, politician, musician, leader or anybody else who would it be and why?
SB-I have always wanted to work with Will Smith, he’s one of my favorite actors. It seems like every movie he makes is a hit at the box office. I love the Obama’s (former President Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama) they are my favorite couple. I could learn so much from them.
MIHM- What does your heart beat faster, modeling or acting?
SB-I am passionate about modeling but I am ready to expand into acting. I believe in myself and I feel that I have what it takes to be a successful actor.
MIHM-Define what success means to you?
SB-Success means never giving up, not allowing anything to stop you from reaching your goals. I dedicate my success to my mother Rose Wright Bass, my beautiful daughter’s Connor Chanel Wortham, Hailey Janay Wortham, and my (stepson) Tyler Wortham for their unconditional love and support. Special thanks to Joe Young and Young Studios (Hartford), they have been supporting my career since I started in 2009.
MIHM-What do you like doing in your spare time?
SB-I love spending time with my family and close friends. I enjoy traveling, music, live bands, and spending time at the park.
MIHM-Who have been your biggest mentors in your career?
SB-I don’t have a mentor; I am self-driven. I am interested in connecting with a Hollywood Agent to enhance my career. I am ready for the next level.
MIHM-What other projects are you working on right now?
SB-I am preparing to write my first book, a biography of my life story. I am excited and looking forward to this opportunity.
